FRANKLIN COUNTY - A Bourbon woman was killed early Sunday morning after she drove the wrong way on Interstate 44 and hit a tractor-trailer rig head-on, reports the Missouri State Highway Patrol. According to the Highway Patrol, Christen Parmley, 22, of Bourbon was driving a 1998 Chevrolet Monte Carlo eastbound in the westbound lane at mile marker 250.4 at 1:51 a.m Sunday when she was hit head-on by a 2006 Freightliner driven by Dorinel Dorosan, 47, of Belleville, Ill. The Highway Patrol reported that Parmley was driving the wrong way on a stretch of highway five miles west of Pacific. Parmley was allegedly not wearing a seat belt. The driver of the truck was not injured. Parmley was transported to the St. Louis County morgue by Russell Funeral Home.
