Caleb Waterman, 20, of Sullivan was seriously injured in a Crawford County crash on Route J, three miles north of Bourbon, when the 1999 Chevrolet Malibu he was riding in ran off the right side of the road, overturned and struck a fence, a Missouri State Highway Patrol report says.
The driver of the vehicle, Travis Gatlin, 33, of Sullivan was not injured in the crash, but was arrested by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and charged with driving while revoked, and a felony for leaving the scene of an accident, electronic MSHP records show. He was taken to the Crawford County Jail.

Waterman suffered serious injuries and was transported by private vehicle to Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital, the patrol said. He reportedly was not wearing a seat belt.
