SULLIVAN - Come rain, wind, hail or anything else that has stopped the construction of the Elmont Road overpass, it probably won't stop MoDOT's official ribbon cutting at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21 atop the new span. Will it actually open to traffic after the ribbon is cut and the dignitaries pose for photos?
Depends on who you ask. Regardless, MoDOT supervised the $8 million-plus bridge that will connect Elmont Road north and south, as well as Highway 185, which will be connected from Springfield/Hwy. 185....

The SHS varsity football team kept clean an undefeated season when they defeated Park Hills Central 14-3 in front of a huge home crowd, bringing their record to 5-0.
